West Ham vs Brighton LIVE! Premier League result, match stream and latest updates today

West Ham vs Brighton LIVE!

West Ham are off and running in 2024 following a tame goalless draw with Brighton. The Hammers flattered to deceive in their first game of the New Year on Tuesday night, with goalkeeper Alphonse Areola to thank for preserving a point that keeps them in sixth position in the Premier League table with nearly three weeks now until their next top-flight game following FA Cup duty and a re-established January winter break.

David Moyes' side have now set a new club record with four successive clean sheets following their first home league 0-0 since all the way back in 2018, with their best chances at the other end of the pitch falling to the likes of Tomas Soucek and James Ward-Prowse. Jarrod Bowen also struck the post in the first half after a fine save from Jason Steele, but the offside flag was up.

Brighton had not kept a league clean sheet all season before Tuesday and will no doubt be lamenting a missed opportunity as the better side, though the injury-plagued Seagulls did at least rise above Manchester United into seventh spot on goal difference. Follow West Ham vs Brighton reaction live below, with expert analysis from Standard Sport's Malik Ouzia at the London Stadium.
