West Ham United will be looking to finish 2022 on a high after struggling to find the usual level of form we used to over the last couple of years when they welcome a Brentford side who have not dropped points against the Irons in the Premier League. The Bees are sitting comfortably in midtable while the hosts are just a point above the relegation zone.
The Irons go into this match as the favourites at evens ahead of the match at the London Stadium while Brentford are 11/4 and a draw is 5/2. West Ham's only win against the Bees was back in April 1993 with a 4-0 victory but have since suffered back-to-back defeats.
Four straight league defeats is far from ideal for David Moyes and his squad with the expectancy of securing another place in Europe at the start of the season looking like it is out of their reach before the New Year has even started. A win here is needed to give Moyes a bit of breathing space and some much needed momentum.
