Karren Brady has confirmed that she has taken a 30 per cent wage cut in order to continue paying West Ham staff their full salaries.
The vice-chairman, who according to the club's latest accounts for the financial year to May 2019 earned £1.136m, has vowed to take the same wage cut as the West Ham squad and responded to a question on Twitter as to whether she would take a cut by saying: "Yes I am, reduced by 30 per cent so I can help ensure my staff are paid 100 per cent."
West Ham manager David Moyes this week also volunteered to take the same cut as the east Londoners continue to explore their options to reduce the financial impact of the coronavirus lockdown.
Brady stated in her column for The Sun last weekend that she would take the same pay cut as West Ham's playing staff, though with clubs, the Premier League and the PFA in increasingly complex talks over what cut players will take, an agreement is yet to be reached.
