West Ham United announce three directors to oversee and develop their WSL side

West Ham United Vice-Chairman Brady will lead a new senior level of focus and support across all areas of Women’s football and commercial operation, from the first team through to the Academy. She is joined by Tara Warren and Nicola Keye as directors of the Women’s team.

The appointment is in line with the club's key objectives - to continue driving the progress and success of Paul Konchesky’s team in the Women’s Super League, along with the ever-growing development of women’s football overall.

The appointment of Baroness Brady and Executive Director Warren, who are both members of the West Ham United FC Board, alongside Director of Ticketing Keye, were all added to the Women’s team Board. Together they have more than 60 years of combined senior experience from women in professional football, providing additional focus, commitment and senior support to the Women’s team’s ongoing development and growth.

Baroness Brady said: “I am delighted to be able to confirm this important and exciting new level of senior support for West Ham United Women, as we continue to enhance all areas of the Football Club and build upon our role as an equity leader in football.

“The women’s game is the fastest growing sport in the United Kingdom and at West Ham United we have made tremendous strides forward since being granted FA Women’s Super League status five years ago.

“Tara and Nicola have a wealth of valuable experience in football and business and together we will work tirelessly to ensure that West Ham United Women continue to go from strength to strength, on and off the field.”

Konchesky’s team are currently sitting seventh in the top tier of women’s football, reached the semi-finals of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup, narrowly missing out on a place in the quarter-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup last weekend after being knocked out on penalties by Aston Villa.

The Hammers' next challenge is an away trip to 11th-place Reading in a WSL clash on Sunday, March 5th.
