West Ham United striker Danny Ings is set for a short spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury on his debut for the club on Saturday.
Ings, who completed a £12million move from Aston Villa on Friday, made his debut off the bench for West Ham in their 2-0 win over Everton at the weekend, replacing Michail Antonio for the final 18 minutes of the victory.
First reported by The Guardian, football.london understands that Ings suffered a knee injury that is set to keep him out of West Ham’s upcoming matches. However, he could return midway through next month.

West Ham are next in action in a week’s time when they head to Derby County in the fourth round of the FA Cup. However, Ings was already not set to feature in that match, having already played in the competition this month for Villa against Stevenage.
West Ham’s four matches in February in the Premier League come against Newcastle United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest. The Guardian have said that while he is set to miss the games against Newcastle and Chelsea, he could be back in time for the trip to Spurs on February 19.
That leaves Antonio as West Ham’s only fit striker, with Gianluca Scamacca also currently out with a knee issue.
