West Ham stars set for contract talks as Hammers send clear transfer message to Liverpool

West Ham are set to offer Jarrod Bowen a new deal in the summer in a bid to stave off transfer interest from their Premier League rivals.

Bowen has been in superb form this season and is pushing for an England call-up next month for the international friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast. His performances have reportedly grabbed the attention of Liverpool who are keen to sign the Hammers attack this summer.

football.london understands that West Ham have no intention of letting the 25-year-old leave and have received no offer for his services and would not welcome one.

In an attempt to keep Bowen happy and a Hammer for the long-term, the England hopeful is to be offered a new deal according to a report in the Evening Standard.

Bowen still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current West Ham deal so there is no pressure on David Moyes' side to cash in on one of their star assets and a new deal does not need to be rushed through.

The former Hull City man is not the only Hammer reportedly set for talks over a new contract with Tomas Soucek also due to begin negotiations on an improved deal with the club.

With West Ham pushing for a Champions League spot this season negotiations with the players are not set to take place until the summer when the club and players will have confirmation of which, if any, European competition West Ham will take part in next season.

The Hammers are currently in the fourth and final Champions League place, however, all of their rivals have games in hand on West Ham and will have opportunities to overtake Moyes' team.

With a last-16 tie in the Europa League to come in March West Ham have two shots and sealing Champions League football next season and in doing so would be in a strong position to keep hold of their star players.
