West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell has been named in the October European team of the month.
Comprised of players from the top five leagues in Europe - Ligue 1 (France), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), the Bundesliga (Germany), and the Premier League - statistical analysts SofaScore have rated the 32-year-old as the most consistent left back of the month.
Cresswell, who joined West Ham in 2014, is joined by some big names in the European team of the month, with Paris Saint Germain's Argentine superstar Lionel Messi and England international Jude Bellingham joined by three other Premier League players in Newcastle United's Kieran Trippier, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

The other players included in the October team of the month are Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck and RB Leipzig's Willi Orban, Wolfsburg midfielder Maximillian Arnold, Lille's Remy Cabella, and Rennes' Martin Terrier.
The Hammers defender earned his place in the team with an average rating of 7.48 following his league appearances against Wolves, Fulham, Southampton, Liverpool, Bournemouth, and Manchester United. He also played in West Ham's 2-1 win at home against Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Cresswell has helped West Ham keep two clean sheets in his last six games and is currently in the last season of his four-year contract.
