West Ham United fans have been made to wait more than 40 years to see their team win a major trophy, among the longest in the Premier League.
Though the Hammers reached the FA Cup final back in 2006, they were defeated by Liverpool to extend the club's wait to lift silverware. Under David Moyes, they reached the UEFA Europa League semi-final last season where they lost to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
Not since the FA Cup triumph in 1980, where they defeated Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley to lift that famous piece of silverware, have the Irons won a major trophy - 15,495 days ago. It's not the longest wait in England's top-flight but does leave the team in the top five, fourth to be exact.

Above the east London outfit are Newcastle, 53 years and 136 days, Southampton, 46 years and 162 days, and Wolves, 42 years and 209 days - just 56 days longer than West Ham. Rounding up the top five is Nottingham Forest, who won the League Cup 32 years ago.
West Ham's London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last won a major trophy back in 2008, lifting the League Cup, and have been made to wait the longest out of the so-called 'big six' sides to earn major success. Man City have gone the least amount of time since last winning a trophy, given they were crowned Premier League champions only 141 days ago.
For all their success under Sir Alex Ferguson, United have struggled since his retirement and have not won a trophy in five years, when they beat Saints in the League Cup final and then went on to win the UEFA Europa League.
While Arsenal's FA Cup win in 2020 has seen them go two years since their last trophy, Chelsea's wait is even shorter having won the UEFA Champions League in 2021.
Currently in England's top-flight, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Brentford, Brighton, and Bournemouth are without any major trophy but have won titles in the lower leagues over the years.
