West Ham came from behind to beat Wolves during a dramatic game at Molineux.
James Ward-Prowse’s goal straight from a corner won the game in a huge victory for the Hammers, although the hosts were furious a late equaliser was chalked off by VAR.
Here’s how David Moyes’s side rated at Molineux...
Lukasz FabiaÅski 6
Smart save to keep out Doyle and went the right way for penalty but almost caught dallying by Sarabia.
Vladimir Coufal 4
Beaten at the far post by Doherty in lead up to good Doyle chance. Looked a yard off it and replaced at half-time.
Konstantinos Mavropanos 5
Lack of pace on the turn exposed on several occasions. Ponderous on the ball, too.
Kurt Zouma 6
Best of a middling bunch at the back, making crucial block on Ait Nouri at 0-0.
Emerson 6
An eventful afternoon. Gave away Wolves penalty, then looked to have made amends with header but penalised for foul on Semedo in the build-up. Then did win Hammers penalty with sharp work.
James Ward-Prowse 6
Supposedly the most technical of the midfield three but found it impossible to get on the ball in the first-half. Set-piece brilliance came up trumps, though, with direct corner goal.
Edson Alvarez 6
Back from a two-game suspension but looked rusty. Improved after half-time.
Missed West Ham’s one chance of the first-half when getting ball stuck under his feet in a great position. Dragged at half-time.
Mohammed Kudus 6
Tried to take responsibility on the ball but guilty of forcing it on occasion. Benefitted from Bowen’s departure when switching back to preferred right flank but wanted too long when found in behind by Paqueta.
Jarrod Bowen 5
Struggled to get into the game but made Soucek chance through good harrying work. Forced off after collision with Lemina and must now be a doubt for Thursday.
Lucas Paqueta 6
Terrific penalty swept into the side netting. Had been quiet until then, but made big Kudus opening with fine ball late on. Booked.
Substitutes
Ben Johnson (Coufal 46’) 6
Sent on at the break and did a better job than Coufal. Close to winner on the volley. Got away with conceding needless corner that led to Wolves’s disallowed equaliser.
Michail Antonio (Soucek 46’) 7
On at half-time for his 300th West Ham appearance and made a positive impact as the focal point.
Aaron Cresswell (Bowen 54’) 6
A strange choice to replace Bowen but tactical tweak worked in freeing Emerson.
