West Ham United moved out of the Premier League's relegation zone on Saturday evening with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium.
Goals from Gianluca Scamacca and Jarrod Bowen either side of half-time, that saw both open their accounts for the season in the league, proved to be enough to earn David Moyes' side three points and their first home win of the domestic campaign.
Here is how football.london ’s West Ham United writer Jonty Colman rated the Hammers’ players against the Old Gold.

Lukasz Fabianski
Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was able to rest over the international break due to his retirement. The former Arsenal man was called into action on a few occasions in the first half to keep the likes of Jonny and Daniel Podence from opening the scoring early on. Again in the second half, he was tested. Podence tried his luck from range and Fabianski matched him well. Only his second clean sheet of the campaign, but a thoroughly deserved one. A great showing. 8
Thilo Kehrer
Having featured at right-back for Germany during their 3-3 draw with England on Monday night, Thilo Kehrer was moved to right-back, allowing Craig Dawson to start as Vladimir Coufal lost his place. As a full-back, Kehrer was able to press high and win tackles and by doing that, West Ham had a golden chance which started from a Kehrer challenge, only for Scamacca to turn wide after Bowen's shot was spilled. A blocked second half shot from range led to Bowen making it 2-0 and it gave him encouragement to fly forward when West Ham attacked. A solid display and a suggestion that him at right-back could make him a part of West Ham's best back four at present. 7
Craig Dawson
Having had a summer move to Wolves collapse on deadline day, there was quite the irony surrounding the fact that Dawson's first league start of the season came against the Old Gold. A really solid display from Dawson, a strong challenge on the byline early on from him announced that he was back and going to make life difficult. Really solid in limiting the threat caused by Adama Traore's pace and also shifted that onto pressuring Wolves debutant Diego Costa when he came on late on. Gave Costa one free chance, which he wasted, as Costa got the better of Dawson and Kehrer, but otherwise solid. 7
Kurt Zouma
Despite being a French international in recent seasons, centre-back Kurt Zouma was not on international duty this time around, giving him a two-week rest from action for the Blues. He re-formed his partnership with Dawson at the back that had been successful so often last season. A really solid display from the French centre-back once again, although he did not have all that much to do, with many of Wolves' best chances coming from range. Had a slight injury scare when landing awkwardly in the second half, but got up and got on with it, seeming to be okay afterwards. 7
Aaron Cresswell
Making his 302nd club appearance was Aaron Cresswell, preferred over Italian Emerson, who made a late substitute appearance against England eight days ago. Defensively, Cresswell put in a decent shift and got forward when he could without overdoing it. Booked late on for a cynical foul on Traore but a fairly solid display. 6
Declan Rice
Declan Rice was back from international duty to play alongside colleague Tomas Soucek in the heart of midfield, having started in both of England's UEFA Nations League ties. Absolutely excellent in midfield, seemingly sat slightly deeper and absorbed Wolves' attacks. Made countless interceptions, influential with his long passing and really progressive when in possession. Booked for catching Joao Moutinho late but that was arguably the only thing he did wrong all night. A really top showing. 8
Tomas Soucek
Like Rice, Soucek got two starts on international duty while away with the Czech Republic, although both ended in defeat. Solid defensively and while he tried to attack, it was not as influential as he was when trying to win back possession for his side. His passing was off on a few occasions, not a bad game, but he's performed much better. 6
Jarrod Bowen (Star man)
West Ham's star of the show was Bowen, who ended his long wait for a first league goal of the season. Huffed and puffed in the first half to create two chances for Scamacca, his first shot led to Scamacca dinking the ball wide, while the second was blocked before he got the shot off, leading to Scamacca converting. He was at the heart of all of West Ham's fortune going forward and got his deserved goal after the break, pouncing on Kehrer's blocked shot before shuffling past Rayan Ait-Nouri and finishing with aplomb. 8
Lucas Paqueta
Brazilian Lucas Paqueta did strut his stuff at times and showed some great creativity, not dithering on the ball as he much as he did against Everton almost a fortnight ago. His quality on the ball is clear to see, but a couple of times he went down too easily when challenged, when they appeared to be soft. Still getting used to West Ham life, but got to see more of his qualities, a game where the Hammers could dominate, unlike recent matches. 6
Maxwel Cornet
There was a full Premier League debut for former Burnley man in the West Ham 11 in place of Pablo Fornals following a recent dip in form. The Ivorian's first outing from the off was short-lived though, coming off injured before the break with an ankle issue following a challenge from Podence. Had one half chance before coming off, but blazed over an awkward volley, did not run at Wolves' back line as much as he could have done. 5
Gianluca Scamacca
Handed a full home Premier League debut against the Old Gold, Italian international Scamacca took less than 45 minutes to open his Premier League account for the season. Prior to that, the £30.5million signing had turned a close range chip off a Bowen shot wide and taken one of the worst free-kicks the London Stadium will ever see, more resonating an NFL punt. Took his goal well when Bowen's chance was cut out, controlling the ball brilliantly and getting off a clean strike from the edge of the penalty area, helped by a deflection off Jonny's head. Battled well and was replaced with around 25 minutes to go in place of Michail Antonio. 7
Substitutes
Pablo Fornals
Benched after a really poor showing against Everton prior to the international break, Fornals was bought into the frame before half-time, with Cornet limping out of his full Premier League debut for West Ham with an ankle injury. Perhaps being dropped gave him a reminder of the competition in the squad, he looked like he came on with a point to prove, winning tackles and playing forward as much as he could. Had one or two scraps and half chances to shoot from, but failed to get the strike off he was looking for. Expected to be back in the Premier League side against Fulham if Cornet's injury keeps him out. 6
Michail Antonio
Having represented Jamaica in the early hours of Wednesday morning in New York, Antonio found himself starting on the bench for only the second time in a league game this season. 5
Emerson
Back from representing Italy, Emerson came on for the last 15 minutes or so, playing in an advanced role that saw Fornals move centrally. 5
