West Ham United have recalled goalkeeper Joseph Anang following his loan spell with League One side Derby County.
The 22-year-old Ghana-born stopper spent the first half of the season with the Rams but failed to make a single appearance for Paul Warne’s side, who West Ham face in the fourth round of the FA Cup in a week’s time.
For much of Anang’s stint with the Rams, he was sidelined due to suffering a small arm fracture shortly after his arrival at Pride Park.

While at Derby, Anang failed to make a single appearance for the club’s first-team, making the matchday squad once against Shrewsbury Town days after his arrival. Anang did however play once in Premier League 2 earlier this season against Southampton B, playing the duration of a 3-0 defeat to Saints.
He has now been recalled and is back at West Ham following a disappointing spell in the East Midlands.
While Anang has come back to the club, one goalkeeper linked away from the London Stadium is former Republic of Ireland international Darren Randolph.
football.london understands that Premier League rivals Bournemouth have expressed an interest in signing the 35-year-old this month. However, it is no more than interest at this stage.
Randolph is yet to make an appearance for the club this season, but has been an unused substitute 18 times in all competitions this term. He did however feature for the Hammers last month during their mid-season friendly win over Cambridge United.
The Irishman’s last competitive performance came in May 2021 during a 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
