Danny Ings is in contention to return for West Ham when they travel to St James' Park to face Newcastle United today.
Ings joined the Hammers from Aston Villa in January for a fee of £12 million, which could rise to £15 million if they avoid relegation at the end of the season.
The forward suffered a knee injury on his debut in a 2-0 win over Everton, and was expected to spend a few weeks on the sidelines. However, after missing West Ham's 2-0 triumph at Derby County in the FA Cup on Monday, the 30-year-old looks set for an early return to action. Elsewhere, Gianluca Scamacca (knee), Kurt Zouma (thigh), and Maxwel Cornet (calf) remain unavailable for their trip to Tyneside.

"Danny Ings is doing quite well and has a chance for tomorrow. Gianluca is not available, Zouma not available, Cornet not available," West Ham boss David Moyes said in his pre-match press conference.
"[Scamacca, Zouma and Cornet are] all getting better. I can't give you an exact date on any."
Scamacca has missed West Ham's last two games with a knee injury, and although he is nearing a return, Saturday's clash against Newcastle will come too early for the Italian forward. Zouma is back on the treatment table after suffering another injury setback on his return from a two-month absence due to knee surgery. The French defender sustained a small tear in his thigh during the first half but played the remainder of the match.
Cornet has played just five times in the Premier League since his transfer from Burnley back in the summer. The Ivorian winger has been sidelined with a calf injury since October, and was handed another injury blow following his return to training in November. He was expected to be back in training this week, but Moyes has revealed that Cornet will need more time before returning to action.
Moyes said: "We never expected him to be back yet. We were hoping he would be. Needs to get more pitch work. He's not feeling his calf muscle anymore. He's 60-70 per cent."
West Ham predicted starting XI: Fabianski; Kehrer, Ogbonna, Aguerd; Coufal, Paqueta, Rice, Emerson; Bowen, Fornals; Antonio.
