West Ham United fans were left extremely impressed by Declan Rice on and off the pitch following their 2-1 win against Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers travelled to the Aggborough Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup and were stunned when the home side took the lead in the 19th minute through Alex Penny.
However, England international Rice changed the game when he was brought on at half-time, scoring the equaliser in the 91st minute to crush Kidderminster hearts.
On-form winger Jarrod Bowen then secured the victory for the Hammers in injury time of extra-time, helping David Moyes' side advance to the next round of the famous competition.
And after the full-time whistle, West Ham fans noticed Rice taking plenty of time to take pictures with supporters and sign autographs too, illustrating that the 23-year-old remains as down to earth as ever.
The tough-tackling midfielder's display also caught the eye of Moyes, who hailed the youngster's sky-high potential after the match.
"Declan Rice is right up with some of the best players I've certainly had. It's his potential as well to get better because of his age. There's a potential for him to improve and mature better because of his age," he said.
"When you're 23 years old and you're playing a number of games, there's a lot of room for that to improve. If you look at the England squad in the Euros who lost in the final, it would be hard to suggest that Declan Rice hasn't played as well as any other England player since those finals."
The former Manchester United boss continued: "He’s under contract and we’re really pleased to have him. He’s like a special edition Declan Rice, there’s not many like him. For me, he’s arguably playing as well as any midfielder player in European football.
"Special edition means that there are very few people like him out there. It's like buying something that there aren't many of them. He is a special, special edition, a special player and for me he is probably the best midfield player in Europe at this present time."
