West Ham confirmed 11: David Moyes makes three changes to face Silkeborg and Craig Dawson call

West Ham United boss David Moyes has named his side to face Silkeborg at JYSK Park.

The Hammers will look tostrengthen their lead at the top of Group B in Denmark when they face Silkeborg on Thursday evening, currently sitting top of Group B following their 3-1 win over FCSB last week.

As the Irons aim to make it back-to-back wins in this competition, Moyes has made three changes to face Silkeborg from the side that came from behind to beat their Romanian opponents a week ago.

After not playing this season barring a late cameo role off the bench last week against FCSB, Craig Dawson comes in at centre-back for his first start of the campaign, having struggled with a thigh injury and had a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers collapse on deadline day.

Vice-captain Aaron Cresswell is back after missing the last two matches with a groin issue. He plays on the left of the back three next to Dawson and Thilo Kehrer, with Vladimir Coufal and Emerson starting as wing-backs.

The other change sees Lucas Paqueta come into midfield. It is unclear exactly what shape Moyes is going with, but Declan Rice and Manuel Lanzini keep their places in midfield and Maxwel Cornet and Gianluca Scamacca leading the line.

Flynn Downes, Said Benrahma and Angelo Ogbonna have all dropped down to the bench, while Tomas Soucek also returns to the bench after overcoming a recent foot problem.

Centre-back Nayef Aguerd (ankle) remains sidelined until mid-October, while right-back Ben Johnson has not travelled with the squad due to a hamstring issue.

West Ham United starting XI: Alphonse Areola; Vladimir Coufal, Thilo Kehrer, Craig Dawson, Aaron Cresswell, Emerson; Declan Rice, Manuel Lanzini, Lucas Paqueta; Maxwel Cornet, Gianluca Scamacca

Substitutes: Lukasz Fabianski, Darren Randolph, Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna Flynn Downes, Tomas Soucek, Conor Coventry, Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Michail Antonio
