Only Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Aaron Cresswell keep their places from the London derby win over Fulham.
It appears to be a return to the back five, with Alphonse Areola starting behind a defence of Vladimir Coufal, Ben Johnson, Angelo Ogbonna, Cresswell and Emerson.
Like last week, Flynn Downes and Manuel Lanzini make up the partnership in the centre of midfield.
Paqueta joins a makeshift front three with Said Benrahma starting on the other side and Bowen set to play up front.
Craig Dawson, Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Pablo Fornals and Gianluca Scamacca all drop to the bench, while Michail Antonio misses out through illness. Thilo Kehrer, Kurt Zouma and Lukasz Fabianski have been left out of the squad, although all of them trained on Wednesday.
Centre-back Nayef Aguerd (ankle) remains sidelined but has resumed light training, having been on the sidelines since pre-season. Winger Maxwel Cornet is also out with a calf issue.
