Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio will be assessed at Rush Green on Monday after the West Ham pair both saw their international breaks cut short by injury.
Antonio limped off during Jamaica’s 2-1 defeat by Canada in the first leg of their Nations League quarter-final and will play no part in Wednesday’s return fixture, having travelled back to London.
It was initially reported that the forward had suffered a hamstring injury but Standard Sport understands the issue is with Antonio’s knee and there are fears he could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
Bowen, meanwhile, has also returned to West Ham after a minor knee issue ruled him out of England’s trip to Skopje for their final Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia on Monday.
“We didn't really have enough time to assess it fully and make an accurate decision, so we felt better to leave him in England,” Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate explained on Sunday. “We wouldn't take a risk.”
Bowen has been in superb form for his club this season and is the leading English scorer in the Premier League with eight goals in 12 matches.
That run has seen the 26-year-old, a winger by trade, emerge as David Moyes’s first-choice at centre-forward, with Antonio losing his place in recent weeks having not scored since August.
Even so, Antonio’s absence would see Moyes's striking resources stretched heading into the busy festive period, with the Hammers still battling to finish top of their Europa League group and facing a Carabao Cup quarter-final away at Liverpool before Christmas.
