Lucas Paqueta will wear the number ten shirt for West Ham this season after previous occupant Manuel Lanzini left this summer.
The Brazilian playmaker, who made 41 appearances for the Hammers during his first campaign in England and assisted Jarrod Bowen's winner in the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina in Prague, has switched from number 11.
That shirt will instead by worn by Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca, who was previously wearing the number seven. The 24-year-old scored eight goals in 27 games for West Ham wearing the number seven, which is now a free squad number.
Previous players to wear the number 11 for West Ham include Paul Ince, Stewart Downing, Jesse Lingard, Robert Snodgrass and, prior to Paqueta taking it last summer, Nikola Vlasic.
Another signing from last season - versatile winger Maxwel Cornet - has also decided to swap his shirt number for the 2023/24 campaign and will take the number 17, having worn 14 during his maiden season in east London.
The number was previously worn by Bowen (before he switched to 20) and Javier Hernandez, who scored 17 goals in 63 games for the Hammers between 2017-2020.

Finally, goalkeeper Alphonse Areola will take the number 23 shirt for the 2023/24 season, changing from number 13. Issa Diop and Jose Fonte have previously worn it.
