West Bridgford craft beer shop announces it's closing after 10 years of service

A popular West Bridgford craft beer store has closed its doors for the final time after 10 years of service. Officials of the Hopolgogy Beer Shop, in Melton Road, cited the aftermath of a "disastrous autumn mini budget" as a reason for the closure.

The store shut its doors for the final time at around 2pm on Saturday, January 21. Attempts were made to keep Hopology open under new ownership but "that wasn't to be", staff wrote in a heartfelt statement shared on the shop's Facebook page.

In the statement, a spokesperson for the shop wrote: "The shelves are bare and we’ve closed. Thank you to all the customers who helped make the shop a success since we opened in 2013.
