A child was taken to hospital on Wednesday night after being struck on the face by a missile.
The object was reportedly thrown from a newly opened community park on the Stewartstown Road. Cars and buses have also been target to attacks in the area over the last number of weeks.
Speaking this morning, Sinn Féin MLA Daniel Baker said the young girl will now have a scar on her face because of the "reckless behaviour".

He added: "Yesterday evening an 11-year-old girl needed hospital treatment, after being hit in the face by a missile thrown from Páirc Nua Chollann.
"The family are very upset and want to thank those who came to their daughters aid.
"I appeal again to those behind this to stop, we are doing all we can but this is becoming increasingly hard to manage."
One local woman branded the incident as a "disgrace".
She said: "If you only seen her face. She's very lucky not to have been blinded as it was very close to her eye."
Police in West Belfast say they received a report of an assault on the young girl.
Inspector Adams said: “We received a report that an 11-year-old girl had been assaulted at 5.45pm in Páirc Nua Chollann, Stewartstown Road, after a stick was thrown. The victim sustained a cut from her eye to her nose and attended hospital for treatment to her injuries.
"A 12-year-old boy was cautioned for assault occasioning actual bodily harm."
