Wesley Sneijder reveals two reasons why he rejected Liverpool transfer

Sneijder enjoyed a successful career both at club and international level for the Netherlands. He had spells with Ajax, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, before spending four years with Galatasaray.

The 38-year-old recently spoke about Liverpool and their recent move for Cody Gakpo. Sneijder believes that the former PSV Eindhoven forward will be a good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

“I also wanted to be free at Christmas and New Year's. It was a choice I made consciously.”
