Wes Nelson teases new music with Liam Payne as pair hang out in studio together

Wes Nelson and Liam Payne appear to be making new music together.

The 24-year-old Love Island star turned musician, who is now a successful solo artist, has come on leaps and bounds since he launched his first single See Nobody - featuring rapper Hardy Caprio - in 2020.

These days, Wes is making moves after reaching out to the biggest of stars - as he gets to work on a song with former One Direction heartthrob Liam, 28.

Over on his Instagram Story, Wes recorded Liam in the studio, captioning the clip: "We got another one @liampayne."

The singer was sat scrolling on his phone as Wes filmed him to show his fans, in a bid to get them hyped.

Liam looked up and did a sign to the camera, before he went back to being engrossed in his phone.

The reality star then filmed himself, writing: "I've been busy busy," with a microphone emoji.

"Almost time now..." he added.

It seems Wes is collaborating with all the huge music stars, as back in January he suggested he was making music with Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter Andre, as they posed for a photo together.

Since reaching the final of the fourth series of the ITV2 dating show with ex Megan Barton-Hanson, Wes has changed his career path and successfully forged a name for himself in the music world.

In October 2019, the star competed in The X Factor: Celebrity as part of a group called No Love Lost, composed of fellow former Love Island stars Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott and Eyal Booker.

The following year, Wes announced that he had signed a solo record deal with EMI Records and in September 2020, he released his debut single, See Nobody.

Wes peaked at No. 3 in the UK Singles Chart back in April 2021 with his hit single, Nice to Meet Ya featuring Yxng Bane.

Since shooting to fame, the musician has lost interest in material possessions.

Wes - who became a millionaire at 21 - gave away his £145,000 Mercedes last year.

He later confirmed he gave the car to his dad and brother, with him speaking on The Private Parts podcast about how unsatisfying materialism is.

He said: "My dad and my brother have my car now. I've realised that as soon as you get one thing you want the next thing anyway. It's actually so dead.

"This is the first time I've not drove in my life - and I love driving. Because I know what I'll be like, I'll want to get a new one and I'll want to get this.

"The more you have, the more money you probably make. They come hand in hand, but at the same time it sucks. You don't want more, it just comes with doing more."

The Mirror has contacted Wes' representative for a comment.
