Wes Brown says a Champions League injury is the only regret of his Manchester United career.
Defender Brown came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford and ended up making more than 350 appearances for United, scoring five goals. He won five Premier League titles, a pair each of FA Cups and League Cups, as well as two Champions League crowns. He remains one of only a handful of United players to have won the European Cup twice with the club, along with Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.
Manchester-born Brown departed United in the summer of 2011 and made the move to Sunderland. After five seasons on Wearside, he spent a campaign with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, before playing for Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters and hanging up his boots in 2018.

And he's now named his one United regret, which came in August 2002 against Zalaegerszegi. The hosts won 1-0 in the first leg, before United made it through to the group stage with a 5-0 triumph back at Old Trafford.
Brown's evening in Budapest ended after only six minutes when he had to limp off following a late challenge. The incident led to Brown being out of action for a few months due to undergoing an operation on his ankle.
Speaking to Inside United, Brown said: “I won’t change anything. Actually, there’s only one thing I would change. I injured myself in the Champions League qualifying game one year, I broke my ankle.
"Basically, me and this guy went for a tackle but the ball was already out of play. But we both did it anyway and I broke my ankle by doing it, which set me back again for a while.
"So, except for that, I wouldn’t change anything and I don’t think I can really change the injuries as well because, obviously, that gives you a mental strength to go again when you come back next time.
"He kept going and I kept going and I just remember thinking: ‘Oh my God.' So I had to go through it and, you know, I’ve still got the screw in my right ankle, to be fair. I actually had to have an operation which set me back another three or months, which is not ideal.”
