Cardiff rapper Mr. Traumatik has been dropped from his upcoming tour dates after vile homophobic remarks were posted on his Twitter account. Traumatik, whose real name is Marcus Coakley, is a drum and bass artist who has gained icon status in the music scene for his controversial and sexually explicit lyrics.
With millions of streams each month, the rapper was axed from his tour after a tweet appeared on his account, which has since been deleted, along with his social media account, which read: "Everyone used to love to talk about how much they hate batty men, now everyone is scared to express their opinion bcoz they dnt want to get cancelled.. fa**ots lol."
Unsurprisingly, the tweet was met with a huge backlash, his followers included. One person said: "Well Mr. Traumatik, I have an opinion here. This is unacceptable and there is no space for behaviour like this in the drum&bass scene. And why would you ever hate a person on the grounds of sexual orientation? #cancelled."

The Welsh rapper has been dropped from the South Island music festival, Rolling Meadows. Organisers wrote on Twitter to explain their reasoning. They said: "We wholeheartedly disagree with this hate speech & we do not condone this behaviour."
"With that said, we removed him from all upcoming shows. Force DNB will still be continuing with all remaining show dates... However, we will be replacing Traumatik with a new headliner."
Mr. Traumatik was contacted for comment but has not responded.
