Welsh pup is officially the UK's naughtiest dog

Layla might have a picture of innocence on her face, but just look at the scene of destruction behind her.

The mess of ripped up cushions is just one of the reasons how the mixed-breed pup, from Haverfordwest, has been named the UK's naughtiest dog.

Another reason is that the one-year-old has destroyed more than 20 pairs of shoes.

Pet owners across the UK have been sharing hilarious images as part of a nationwide competition by contents insurance providers, SO-SURE, with the owner of ‘the UK’s naughtiest pet’ receiving a £200 Next voucher to replace those slightly chewed soft furnishings., and Layla was named the winner after judges heard about her antics.

The judges said: "She has been caught destroying all the cushions on the sofa and covering the living room in feathers. The £200 Next voucher might not last too long at the rate this pup goes through shoes, as she has apparently destroyed over 20 pairs!"

Layla beat off competition from more than 150 entries, which organisers said made choosing a winner very difficult, but added: "The look on Layla’s face with the trail of destruction behind her made her a worthy winner."

The team behind the competition have also shared some of the rest of the hilarious entries, that will strike a chord with many dog owners.
