Welsh kids hilarious response to 'very offensive' prediction of Ireland 'hammering' Wales in Six Nations

Ireland are set to face Wales in their first match of the Six Nations on Saturday.

However, fans of the game were left in stitches after two juvenile players responded to some comments that the Welsh would be 'hammered' by Ireland in the showdown.

The two young boys were asked for their opinion on the comments.

"Did you hear that there was somebody on Irish radio today who said that Wales were very bad and that they're going to get hammered by Ireland?" the journalist asked.

People were left amazed by one of the young boys responses as he interrupted his friend before he had a chance to shout an answer and remained cool, calm and collected whilst giving a very sophisticated and composed answer.

He said: "That's, that's, that's a bit offensive to us because we're Welsh.

"You could just keep your own opinions to yourself and not so if you've got nothing good to say, don't say it."

The reporter, who was taken aback by the answer, simply responded: "I agree."

Posting the hilarious video on TikTok Off the Ball captioned the post saying: "Welsh rugby's next generation put us in our place on #OTBAM ".

The video has since gathered over 230k views as people couldn't help but laugh at the good natured response.

One person commented: "So cute - that's telling the presenter".

Another said: "Good on the boys!"

While a third wrote: "hahahahah that's so cute"

Others praised the boy for jumping ahead of his friend, who shouted "Excuse me?!" into the mic before he intervened.

They said: "Your man snatched the phone saying "okay let's not do that" Hahha".

A second said: "well said young lad".

Ireland will face Wales in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday with kick-off at 2:15pm.

The game will be shown on RTÉ2, ITV and S4C and will be streaming on the RTE Player.
