Welsh Dancing On Ice star shares heart warming message to co-stars ahead of semi-finals

Although the competition is heating up on Dancing on Ice as the five remaining celebrities head into the semi-final, one skater has sent a sweet message out to the rest of the celebrities. The Vivienne, who hails from north Wales, has said that the rest of the skaters are her "new family".

Reality TV star Joey Essex, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, The Wanted band member Siva Kaneswaran and Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher all remain in the competition, alongside The Vivienne. Posting a picture of all five posing on the ice, The Vivienne said: "The final is so close and I'm so proud to call these guys my new family. To think we all stepped onto the ice in November completely novices, is actually quite mind blowing seeing how far we’ve come. We’ve held each other up, we’ve cried together, laughed together, egged each other on through the whole experience and here we are! Aches, pains, bruises and injuries…..but wouldn’t change it for the world! #dancingonice".

Siva commented on the post: "Well said Viv, let's give them a show, shall we?!" In the week before the semi-final, many fans were shocked that The Vivienne scored a high score of 35.5 out of 40, despite dropping her prop. Performing with a chequered flag as her prop, a nod to the performer previously having won Ru Paul's Drag Race UK, she and Colin made a mistake during their routine and dropped the prop.

Viewers were not impressed that The Vivienne scored so highly. One surprised viewer said: "That was never a 9. Dropped the flag, not enough speed and didn't finish on time with the music. #DancingOnIce". Another added: "They weren't fast enough for the tempo of the song. NO WAY was that 9. #DancingOnIce".
