Motherwell starlet Lennon Miller has been recognised in the Scottish Parliament for breaking in to the Fir Park first-team.
The former Coltness High pupil became the Steelmen’s youngest ever debutant when he came off the bench to feature during a second round Premier Sports Cup match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in August.
The first-team debut came just days after he had turned 16-years old.
Motherwell ran out 4-0 winners and boss Steven Hammell said at the time: "It's not a gesture to play a young boy.
"As you seen when he came on the pitch, he's a fantastic young player and he will compliment and compete with the squad we've got. We will see more of him this season."
Central Scotland MSP Gillian Mackay, who is based in Motherwell, lodged a parliamentary motion at Holyrood congratulating the youngster, whose dad is former Aberdeen and Dundee United striker Lee Miller.
"Football is in his blood as his grandfather Iain Miller is a former director of Motherwell FC.
Wishaw youngster Lennon has already caught the eye of a number of clubs with his talent, and on his international debut for Scotland’s under-16s last year he scored against England from the halfway line after spotting the goalie off his line.
The motion in the Scottish Parliament has already gained cross-party support.
Gillian Mackay MSP, the Scottish Greens health spokesperson, said: “As a community led fan-owned club it’s great to see there is a pathway for local athletes who are at the early stages in their career.
“I’d like to pass on my congratulations to Lennon, his family and those at Coltness High where he has gained his education away from the pitch. Not only has Lennon featured for his boyhood club, he is also making a mark for Scotland.
"He is a superb role model and I hope his success will inspire others to get involved in sports and lead a healthy lifestyle.
“It is refreshing to see people from the community rise through the ranks at Motherwell FC and I wish him and his teammates all the very best for the future.”
