Long time Leith family business Pierinos have won Best Fish and Chip Shop in Scotland and regional Best Fish and Chip Shop in the north east.
Pierino Crolla and Luci Crolla started the business back in 1983 originally under the name the Tally tower and since then have become a Leith institution loved by locals. The chippy has been a huge hit ever since they served their first fish dish decades ago.

The winners of the Scottish Food Awards were announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on September 26. Pierinos brought home Best Fish and Chips in the South East and best in Scotland.
The family are absolutely buzzing with the wins and want to thank their regular customers and parents who started the business that has survived through generations.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live Domenico said: "This means so much to us, especially to our Leith customers. We have had a few messages that we've put Leith back on the map.
"We took over from our parents in 2000 me and my brother Adriano run it with our wives Diana and Tina and all of our kids come in to help which the customers love."
He added: "We shut the shop on Monday and took all of our staff through for a well-deserved treat. We have been working in the shop since we were kids it's a real family business, one of our pizza chefs has been with us for 20 years too.
"I think it's because we have lots of personality too, my two daughters and my brothers kids work two or three nights a week and the customers love them they are just brilliant."
The Crolla family behind the restaurant shared the exciting news on Facebook writing: "Not only are we walking away from the Scottish Food Awards with the title of Best Fish & Chips in the South East!
"We have also won the overall Best Fish & Chips establishment in Scotland!! Thank you so much to all our customers. We wouldn’t be here without you."
Regular customers rushed to congratulate the Leith chippy. One wrote: "Well done guys your dad Peter will be proud and watching over you to this day."
Douglas Spencer said: "Well done guys . It’s been a while since I’ve been in but I’ll definitely be back soon. Well deserved. The standard of food has been excellent for years. Great Chippy."
Brian Gallagher added: "Great chip shop so delighted to see that they are keeping the good name going. They looked after me well when I lived in Leith. Well done."
Vivienne Braid said: "Well done and well deserved" while Simon Kipper added: "Well done guys!!"
