Manchester United fans have welcomed a perceived early hint from the agent of club target Jurrien Timber.
The centre-half has been touted to join Erik ten Hag on the move over to England for a number of weeks. The 20-year-old has caught the eye of several top European clubs as he helped Ajax to the Eredivisie title with his incredible 21 league clean sheets.
The Manchester Evening News understands ten Hag is scouting for a centre-back, a defensive midfielder and a striker this summer. Securing Timber would tick one of those boxes, and United are in pole position to land him given their new manager's connections.

On Friday, a social media post from Forza Sports Group - the agency which represents Timber - sent United fans into a frenzy. The Instagram story said 'Deal closing time...' along with a photo of an airport, leading some to theorise that the player could be on his way to Old Trafford this summer.
A number of fans already started to give their welcomes to Timber, despite no official announcement being made by any party. Some of them took to Twitter air their excitement.
