The West Lothian Foodbank’s garden project was delighted to be gifted a new picnic table for wheelchair users.
West Lothian Council’s Community Inclusion Team noticed the charity didn’t have one and so came up with a solution and built a table, contacting MGM timber to donate timber to carry out the project.
Jim Guest from MGM Timber said: “We were asked by WLC Community Inclusion Team to help out and donate some timber related products to manufacture a disabled wheelchair friendly exterior seating/table area in the outside courtyard at the foodbank – hence our involvement, what a great job the team did.”
Kathleen Neilly the manager of the foodbank added: “We are delighted that the team came along with a problem and solution at the same time, this is a wonderful addition to our garden and I’m very impressed with the work that’s gone into making it, I’m sure volunteers and staff will use this for many years to come, thank you to everyone involved."
