WEKU was the most honored radio station in Kentucky taking home six Regional Edward R Murrow Awards. The awards are one of the most coveted in journalism and represent excellence in journalism.
WEKU Director and General Manager Mike Savage says the honor is a historic moment for the station. "WEKU has worked hard to be Lexington's radio news leader and this news confirms just how good WEKU's news team is. I am very proud of the staff and the station's efforts."
