Week 9 injury report: Who missed Wednesday’s practice for Patriots-Commanders?

It’s starting to become a question of who the New England Patriots have left on the roster given the ridiculous number of players that have gone down with an injury.

The injury report looked shorter in the first report ahead of the team’s Week 9 meeting with the Washington Commanders, but it’s clear that some key players on both sides of the ball are missing for the Patriots.

Many are already on injured reserve, including wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, who suffered a torn ACL in the loss to the Miami Dolphins. DeVante Parker is also out right now with a concussion, while both offensive lineman Trent Brown and tight end Pharaoh Brown continue to work their way back from injuries.

The Commanders rested Jonathan Allen at Wednesday’s practice. They’ll have to depend heavily on the defensive lineman to help carry the unit after the team traded both Montez Sweat and Chase Young before the deadline on Tuesday.

Here’s the full injury report for both teams:

The Patriots are sitting at 2-6 with the easiest stretch of their 2023 schedule coming up. They can’t fix this sinking ship, but they might be able to nudge it in the right direction with a win on Sunday.
