Week 2 of the NFL season is complete and we have had a few surprises. The Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers are surprises, as well as the red-hot Saints.
As we start Week 3, we have a new top team as the Buffalo Bills followed up their comeback win over Arizona with an absolute beatdown of the Miami Dolphins.
These are our Week 3 power rankings in the NFL
NFL Week 3 power rankings
1. Buffalo Bills (+7)
The Bills have scored over 30 points in consecutive games and have allowed only 21 points in the last 6 quarters.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (no change)
Patrick Mahomes throws two interceptions and they still get a last-second win over Cincinnati.
3. Houston Texans (+1)
They sacked Calen Williams seven times on Sunday night.
4. Cincinnati Bengals (+10)
They are 0-2 but nearly knocked off the defending champs. Joe Burrow is 1-9 in 10 career starts in Weeks 1-2.
5. New Orleans Saints (+15)
OK. Can their offense be stopped? Or have they played no one yet?
6. San Francisco 49ers (-5)
They lost to Sam Darnold. Christian McCaffrey is on injured reserve. Deebo Samuel is going to miss a couple of weeks.
7. Detroit Lions (-4)
They were in the red zone seven times against the Bucs but scored one TD and lost to the Bucs. Jared Goff threw two interceptions.
8. L.A. Chargers (+7)
They have allowed only 13 points in two games.
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7)
They are 2-0 after making the playoffs last season. They did it with offense in Week 1 and with defense in Week 2.
10. Philadelphia Eagles (-3)
They gave up another fourth-quarter lead.
11. Dallas Cowboys (no change)
They gave up 47 points to the Saints but I don’t think of them any differently this week.
12. New York Jets (no change)
They beat the Titans, but that isn’t saying much. Losing pass rusher Jermaine Johnson is rough.
13. Minnesota Vikings (+4)
We got the Sam Darnold revenge game. Can he keep it up?
14. Pittsburgh Steelers (+4)
That defense is great. Has Justin Fields turned Russell Wilson into Wally Pipp? However, the offense doesn’t look any more productive than when it was Kenny Pickett. This is all on the defense.
15. Seattle Seahawks (+4)
They are 2-0 after an overtime win over the Pats. Do we know anything about them yet? It’s tough to say.
16. Green Bay Packers (+5)
No Jordan Love, so they just run the ball and run the ball. That works.
17. Atlanta Falcons (+6)
Kirk Cousins led another big game-winning drive.
18. Baltimore Ravens (-12)
0-2? That’s crazy. But so is losing to the Raiders.
19. Indianapolis Colts (-9)
They are 0-2 like the rest of the division except for Houston.
20. Miami Dolphins (-11)
They took a beatdown and now Tua Tagovailoa is concussed again.
21. Cleveland Browns (+3)
They moved up, but were we impressed by a win over the 0-2 Jags?
22. Arizona Cardinals (+3)
That offense with Kyler Murray is…scary. And Marvin Harrison Jr. had 13 yards and two touchdowns in one quarter!
23. L.A. Rams (-18)
So many injuries! Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, Steve Avila and Jonah Jackson are all going to miss several weeks.
24. Jacksonville Jaguars (-11)
They have 30 points in two games.
25. Las Vegas Raiders (+5)
They got a big win over the Ravens. I still don’t know how that happened.
26. Chicago Bears (-4)
The offense is terrible right now.
27. New England Patriots (-1)
They played another touch game, only this time they lost in OT.
28. Washington Commanders (no change)
What a stinker of a game they won over the Giants.
29. Tennessee Titans (no change)
They have blown first-half leads 2 weeks in a row.
30. Denver Broncos (-3)
Bo Nix look awful so far.
31. New York Giants (no change)
At least Malike Nabers scored a touchdown. That’s about all you can say.
32. Carolina Panthers (no change)
Bryce Young has been benched for Andy Dalton.
