The NFC West went 2-2 in Week 16. The San Francisco 49ers, who already clinched the division title, lost on Monday night to the Baltimore Ravens.
That caused some movement in the new NFL power rankings by Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey.
Let’s take a look at where each team ranks as Week 17 begins.
San Francisco 49ers (No. 2 overall)
The 49ers were No. 1 for several weeks but lost 33-19 at home to the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Brock Purdy threw four interceptions, probably taking him out of any MVP conversation.
They still are the No. 1 seed in the NFC with two weeks to go.
Los Angeles Rams (No. 10 overall)
The Rams cracked the top 10 this week. They were 12th last week. They are 8-7, in second place in the NFC West and are currently the No. 6 seed in the wild card. They opened Week 16 with a 30-22 win over the Saints on Thursday night.
Seattle Seahawks (No. 14 overall)
The Seahawks moved up from No. 15 to No. 14 this week after their 20-17 home win over the Tennessee Titans.
Quarterback Geno Smith returned to the lineup after a two-game absence and threw two touchdown passes, including the game-winner with 59 seconds left in the game.
They are the No. 7 seed in the NFC holding on to the final wild card berth with two games to go.
Arizona Cardinals (No. 28 overall)
The Cardinals fell a spot from No. 27 to No. 28 after they lost 27-16 to the Chicago Bears. Chicago rushed for 250 yards against the Cardinals.
They are now 3-12 on the season and hold the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
