Instead, I'll look at the players you have questions about who could exceed or fail to meet expectations at each position. Terry McLaurin vs. Giants (1 p.m. ET, Fox): McLaurin had his first real hiccup in a while last week, scoring just 7.3 points in a loss to the Seahawks. I’d keep him in lineups this week, though, as a plus matchup against the Giants awaits. Only the Eagles have allowed more points to wideouts in the last four weeks, and McLaurin beat Big Blue for 90 yards and 15 PPR fantasy points in a Week 7 matchup.

Start ’Em
Brandon Aiyuk vs. Buccaneers (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): Aiyuk hauled in just three passes in a win over the Jaguars, but he made them count with a touchdown and 14.5 fantasy points. I’d keep him active against the Buccaneers, who have had their struggles against wide receivers. In fact. Their defense has given up five touchdowns and the fifth-most points to the position over the last four weeks.
Christian Kirk vs. Titans (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Kirk put up a good line in last week’s loss to the Niners, posting 104 yards and 14.4 fantasy points. The consistent slot man should remain in starting fantasy lineups against the Titans, who have allowed the seventh-most points per game to enemy wide receivers. Kirk has also scored 20-plus fantasy points in two of three career meetings vs. Tennessee.
Tank Dell vs. Cardinals (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Dell has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy managers, scoring 18-plus points four times in his last seven games. That includes an 18.9-pointer in last week’s win over the Bengals. While he could lose some luster if Nico Collins returns, the rookie is still a nice option against Arizona. Their defense has allowed the fifth-most points to the perimeter this season.
Courtland Sutton vs. Vikings (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC): Sutton doesn’t put up huge totals, but he’s had a decent floor and should be considered a viable flex option against the Vikings. Their defense has given it up to wideouts for most of the year, allowing the ninth-most points and the seventh-highest catch rate to the position. That makes Sutton well worth a starting spot in most fantasy lineups this week.

Adam Thielen vs. Cowboys (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Thielen’s numbers have started to fall, as he’s scored just 18.1 points in his last two games. It’s still hard to sit him in traditional leagues, but he should be faded in DFS and you should temper expectations against the Cowboys. Their defense has allowed the second-fewest points per game to wideouts, including the fourth fewest to the slot.

Sit ’Em
George Pickens at Browns (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Pickens has seen his totals tumble in the last three weeks, scoring a combined 18.6 fantasy points on just 14 targets. That has much to do with the return of Diontae Johnson, not to mention an offense that is leaning on the run more often. Pickens also faces a Browns defense that’s given up no touchdowns and the fewest fantasy points to road wideouts.
Tyler Lockett at Rams (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS): Lockett is a tough player to sit during the bye weeks, but you might want to temper expectations against the Rams. Their defense has allowed just four touchdowns and the ninth-worst catch rate to wide receivers this season. Lockett has also been held under 12 PPR points in five of his last seven games against the Rams, including three games in single digits.
Gabe Davis vs. Jets (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS): Davis has been one of the toughest players to predict in fantasy football, as he’s been an all-or-nothing starter for most of the season. I’d be fading him against the Jets, who have allowed no touchdowns and the fewest fantasy points to perimeter receivers. New York’s defense also held Davis to just two catches and 5.2 fantasy points in their last contest (Week 1).
Brandin Cooks at Panthers (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Cooks is coming off his best game as a Cowboy, posting nine catches, 173 yards, a touchdown and 32.3 PPR points in a win over the Giants. I wouldn’t chase those points this week, though, as a far more difficult matchup against the Panthers awaits. Their defense has been tough on enemy wideouts, allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per contest.
