An evil dad who murdered his infant son to get revenge against his former partner for ending their relationship has been jailed for life.

Lukasz Czapla, 41, shot, stabbed and smothered two-year-old Julius at his home in Muirhouse, Edinburgh, in November 2020 to get back at the child’s mum Patrycja Szczesniak.

The high court in the city heard how Patrycja had split from Czapla in June that year but was happy to allow him look after defenceless Julius.

Scots dad who choked on takeaway hasn't eaten solid meal in five months after diagnosis

A Scots dad who is battling inoperable oesophageal cancer has been unable to eat a solid meal in five months after losing his ability to swallow.

Donald Stewart, 44, was gobbling down a takeaway on his break at work when he realised food was getting stuck last October.

The dad-of-two, from Glasgow, thought he just needed to slow down but weeks went by and the problem gradually got worse before he was only able to eat soft or mashed foods.

Prince Andrew is said to be at the centre of a new royal row over claims his family want a grace and favour home for one of his daughters.

According to The Mirror, the Duke of York has long coveted several royal residences as well as the security of royal life for his children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

And now it seems that Prince Andrew's youngest daughter, new mum Eugenie has made advances of her own to take over Adelaide Cottage, just a few minutes' walk from the Queen's private apartments at Windsor Castle.

Woman shocked as she discovers second use for grab handles inside cars

A woman was taken aback when she found out that there's a 'catch' in her car handle - and that it has a little-known use.

She was so surprised that she filmed a TikTok uncovering the handle's second use. Jess ( @jmac8781 ) is known for creating 'things you might not know' videos, having amassed over 250,000 followers.

In one of her recent TikToks, even she was taken aback by a car related hack. The video has gone viral more than 1.4 million views.

PIP provides up to £152 each week to more than 128,300 people with respiratory conditions

Recent figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) show that at the end of January this year, there were nearly 2.9 million people across the UK claiming support through Personal Independence Payments (PIP), with just over one in three claimants (35%) receiving the highest level of award.

Of that total, 305,279 people living in Scotland will now be receiving financial support of between £24.45 and £156.90 each week following the DWP's 3.1% benefits uprating.

PIP is paid every four weeks so that amounts to between £97.80 and £627.60 every payment period.
