A woman who became entangled in a Met Police scandal after discovering she had once been engaged to an undercover cop has described how two years of her life were a 'complete lie'.

Donna McLean's life was turned upside down when she discovered the man she had been in a relationship with for two years and was was engaged to was an undercover police officer.

The mum-of-two, who grew up in Scotland and now lives in Kent, first met her partner Carlo at an anti-war protest in September 2002 after the war against Iraq was announced.

'Frightened' Scots NHS staff pictured queueing for buses home as car parks lie empty

Staff working for one of Scotland's biggest health boards are being forced to queue for buses late at night under a controversial regime which has banned them from hospital car parks.

NHS Lothian has reintroduced a parking permit scheme, suspended during the coronavirus pandemic, that is designed to keep spaces free at its hospitals for patients.

However, thousands have signed a petition in protest at the scheme - and pictures provided to Edinburgh Live show a huge queue of staff from the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh waiting to get a bus to a park and ride two miles away.

Police remove bags of cannabis plants and equipment from Scots house after drug bust

Forensic officers removed a number of bin bags filled with cannabis plants after police busted a large cultivation at a Scots property.

Police first arrived on the scene in Church Street, Larkhall, at around 6.20pm on Tuesday evening to execute a drugs search warrant.

A 20-year-old man was arrested shortly after the raid.

David Beckham has opened up about his wife Victoria Beckham's unusual eating habits as she has 'eaten the same thing for the last 25 years'.

The former Manchester United player admits to being a big foodie and doesn't share the same taste in food as his wife, as she eats the same thing more or less every day to David's dismay.

David, 46, confessed he and the Spice Girls singer have only ever shared food from the same plate once over the years as he dubs the one-off incident "amazing" and one of his favourite memories they have.

DWP could be investigating your benefit claim and these are the types of evidence they look at

More than 20 million people across the UK are claiming benefits or State Pension from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to help with the additional costs of day-to-day living.

Last month, the UK Government announced new plans to give a £510 million cash injection to the DWP to help it crack down on Universal Credit fraudsters lying about their benefit claims. Funds were released after figures show the DWP prevented at least £1.9 billion of fraud during the first year of the pandemic.
