There are fresh plans to transform a site located off a busy road in Arnold after previous proposals were rejected by the council.
There were plans to turn the Ramper Covert site off Mansfield Road into a burial ground which were refused by the Planning Inspector last month, having been proposed back in 2020.
There were fears it could cause traffic problems along Mansfield Road, which carried an average of 8,500 vehicles.
Other rejected plans for the site were to have log cabins there - these were also blocked by Gedling Borough Council.
However, fresh proposals have now been submitted, hoping to change the use of land to a wedding venue.
The applicant currently operates a wedding venue and wishes to host a maximum of 12 wedding events and keep two tipis erected throughout the wedding season.
This would be from June 1 until August 31, according to the application.
It states: "The proposal seeks a modest intensification to a wedding venue use currently operating under permitted development rights."
It continues: "In view of the limited impact of the proposal on the local landscape character andresidential amenity, having addressed any identifiable harm to any issue of acknowledged planning importance, and detailed plans to improve sustainability and greatly enhance the woodland, biodiversity and wildlife within it, it is therefore respectfully requested that a conditional planning permission be granted in due course."
The application will now be considered by Gedling Borough Council's planning committee.
