Wedding guests in utter disbelief as mum gets engaged on daughter’s big day

Tying the knot can be one of the most memorable days of your life and are eventful at the best of times.

Most weddings are exciting enough already - let alone when you leave your guests in utter shock with an unexpected surprise - and in this case, a proposal.

Newlywed Chloe Robinson took eventful weddings to a new extreme as she got creative with her bouquet toss - and a sweet video of the moment went viral.

The blushing bride left her wedding guests gobsmacked as she tricked those set to catch the wedding bouquet by getting ready to throw - but instead rushed over to pass it to her mum.

The video - which has surpassed 1.2 million views to date on TikTok - shared the heartwarming reaction of friends and family as the partner of the bride's mother got down on one knee.

"Dear Mum, it’s your time now," Chloe commented on the post beside a heart emoji.

The blonde bride prepared to chuck the flowers behind to gushing guests - a tradition that has excited for hundreds of years.

It often suggests that that whoever catches the bouquet is next to walk down the aisle.

In a shocking turn of events, Chloe hurried down the steps to pass the item to her mum - who was immediately stunned.

Family and friends erupted in excited cheers as the woman's partner approached and got down on one knee as he popped the question.

The clip caught insight as guests erupted into an abundance of cheers - many of whom quickly took out their phones to record the wholesome moment.

Despite seemingly overwhelmed, the mum was quick to agree to the question - but not without shedding a tear or two.

To celebrate, the bride's mother embraced her new husband-to-be as they shared a quick kiss.

Viewers - who were clearly chuffed by the event - rushed to the comment section to gush over the exciting day.

"How beautiful to share your special day with someone you clearly love so much," one user wrote.

Whilst some may argue that they don't want their special day to be spoiled, others were keen to praise the idea.

"Honestly I wouldn’t care if someone purposed at my wedding, it’s x2 the fun," a second gushed.

"So not a 'not on MY day', 'no kids rule', 'it’s all about me'…kind of bride," a second penned beside a blushing emoji.

"Beautiful. What a day to spread the love. Congratulations all."
