Udaipur: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha and film star Parineeti Chopra shared their wedding photos on social media on Monday morning, a day after they tied the knot. A number of eminent political leaders and Bollywood celebrities including Priyanka Chopra Jonas congratulated the newly-married couple.
Parineeti and Raghav tied the knot in a private ceremony held at 'The Leela Palace' in Udaipur on Sunday evening. The theme of both their wedding dresses and the main ceremony was 'Pearl White'. The baraat reached ‘The Leela Palace’ in decorated boats.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the couple shared some wedding photos on 'Instagram' and wrote, "Since the first conversation at the breakfast table, our hearts knew...this day was long awaited... Finally got the privilege of becoming Mr. and Mrs. Couldn't live without each other...our journey of a lifetime begins now..''
In the picture, 'Raghav' is seen written in Hindi on Parineeti's dupatta in golden colour. Both the Parineeti's wedding lehenga and Raghav's sherwani were ivory coloured.
There are reports that Raghav's wedding sherwani was prepared by his maternal uncle and designer Pawan Sachdeva. The couple kept their wedding very private. Some pictures went viral on social media a few hours after the ceremony.
In the post-wedding ceremony, Parineeti was seen wearing a pink colored saree and pink colored bangles. Raghav Chaddha was seen in a black ‘classical tuxedo’.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann attended the wedding ceremony. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra, former tennis player Sania Mirza were among many celebriries who attended the event.
Many Bollywood celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Anushka Sharma and Kiara Advani, took to social media to wish the newlyweds on their wedding.
Parineeti's cousin and actress Priyanka Chopra wrote, 'My blessings are always with you.' Priyanka did not attend the wedding ceremony.
Actress Anushka Sharma wrote on Instagram, “Many best wishes to the beautiful couple. May you both always be happy with each other.” Fashion designer Manish Malhotra also wished the newly married couple. He wrote, 'Many congratulations to Raghav and Parineeti. Lots of love and blessings...'
Parineeti and Raghav got engaged on May 13.
