Belfast's new Grand Central Station is set to be completed in 2025, Translink have confirmed.
The multi-million investment by the Department for Infrastructure is set to be Ireland’s largest integrated transport facility and will be at the heart of a new transport-led city neighbourhood called Weaver Cross.
It promises to bring around 1.3 million square feet of mixed-use space to central Belfast.

The regeneration plans brought forward by Translink will see the creation of a new mixed use ‘city neighbourhood with the new Belfast Grand Central Station at its heart'.
Translink has said it will be “the main transport gateway to Belfast, creating a sense of arrival in a modern, progressive city, with rail, bus and coach connections to all parts of Northern Ireland and beyond.”
In an update this week, Translink said construction work on Belfast Grand Central Station is progressing at pace with completion expected during 2025.
Work is currently underway on the station building, train platforms and the busway.
A Translink spokesperson added: “The project will deliver a modern, world-class transport hub with eight rail platforms and 26 bus stands set to enhance local and international connectivity with bus, coach and rail links across Northern Ireland and beyond.
“The impressive facility will also include cycle and taxi provision. This will be a catalyst for regeneration of the area providing a step change in the provision of public transport.
“It is set to improve connectivity for everyone in Northern Ireland and beyond, transforming how people travel, encouraging more active travel, tackling the climate emergency and creating a greener and cleaner city and region for everyone.”
