WEATHER warnings remain in place in Scotland as Storm Bert brings flooding across the country.
On Monday, the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (Sepa) told those living from Ayr to Troon and in Orkney’s Churchill Barrier to expect flooding from the sea due to “high tides and large waves”.
Residents in Strathglass and Moy Bridge have been urged to prepare for agricultural land flooding due to rising river levels.
The agency said it is monitoring the situation and will issue an updated warning if the rising river levels pose a wider risk.
Sepa stated the warnings are in place until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for wind across the west coast, the Highlands, Strathclyde and Tayside from 12am to 10am on Monday.
Forecasters have predicted gusts of 50 to 60mph, with exposed areas being hit by 70mph winds.
The Met Office stated that “delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.”
