A weather system developing in the Atlantic could be 'firing up' a storm to land on Irish shores in the middle of next week, a weather expert has predicted.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather posted images of some concerning weather models for Ireland next week with a low system looking likely to form and hit next Tuesday.
The adverse weather will come after a number of days of mild weather with plenty of Spring sunshine.

The shock to the system is not yet confirmed as Alan says the models are still developing.
He said: "Weather models struggling to get a handle on next week with jet stream moving over us and possible firing up a low system. However the track and details are chopping and changing a lot as these last 3 model updates show."
He had earlier warned the system could finally land Ireland with a named storm, even this late in the season.
"ECMWF also showing risk of storm next Tuesday/Wednesday. Bit late in the season but could we finally see a named storm? Long long way off but keeping [eyes on it]."
The system, if it materialises, could bring strong winds and a huge band of heavy rain to Ireland.
Met Eireann have not yet sounded the alarm over the weather next week but have predicted that beyond the Easter weekend, things will "remain unsettled," pinpointing Tuesday as a "potentially wet and windy day with showers or spells of rain then for the rest of the week."
Weather experts will be keeping a close eye on the developing system over the weekend and weather warnings can't be ruled out at this stage.
