Looks like the UK might be in for a taste of spring sooner than expected! New weather data from wxcharts.com suggests a mini-heatwave could be heading our way, with large parts of the country basking in temperatures around the mid-teens within days.

If the latest forecast holds up, many in southern England could be treated to a balmy 14-15C by March 20. London, Birmingham, and even Newcastle are all in for a bit of warmth, with the mercury set to rise to around 14-15C by early evening. And it doesn’t stop there—by Friday afternoon, parts of the East of England and beyond could see highs of 16C.

In total, around 10 regions might enjoy at least 15C at some point over those two days, including the North-West, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East and West Midlands, South-West and South-East England, and Greater London. Even Scotland could see some of the warmth creeping in.

Meanwhile, over in Ireland, things could get even more dramatic, with areas along the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic potentially hitting a staggering 23C, according to the latest charts.

The Met Office’s three-day outlook, covering March 19-21, also hints at some fine weather midweek, with plenty of sunshine and warmer daytime temperatures—though night-time frosts are still expected to linger. But before we get too excited, the forecasters also warn that conditions could turn unsettled from the south by Friday.

For now, the immediate outlook remains bright. The Met Office expects clearer skies to continue pushing northwest overnight, though the far north could stay mostly cloudy. Most areas will see a widespread frost away from the breezier south.

Tomorrow, it’s a frosty but bright start for many, leading into a sunny day across much of the country. The southwest may feel a little breezier, especially along the coast, but overall, it’s looking like a pretty pleasant spell ahead.

So, while it might not be time to dig out the BBQ just yet, spring seems ready to give us a little teaser before March is out. Let’s see if Mother Nature delivers!
