The Easter weekend is set to bring us a welcomed sunny break across Manchester following a few days of rain.
Many people who have been given the day off work for the Good Friday bank holiday weekend will not only see the sun accompanied by clear skies, but also high temperatures, bringing the perfect conditions for an Easter day out with friends and family.
Warm temperatures will also remain in place for the remainder of the weekend with only Easter Monday seeing light spots of rain, according to early forecasts from the Met Office.
It comes after many parts of the country, including Greater Manchester, have been subjected to high winds and rainy conditions alongside cold temperatures. Fortunately, it seems the weather is giving us a bit of a break just for the Easter weekend.
On Friday, April 7, the day will start with clear skies and bright sun. However, between 7am and 10am, temperatures will remain relatively cold at 4C and 8C respectively. By lunchtime, we will see consistent sunny intervals and much higher temperatures ranging between 12C and 13C which will last until well into the evening at 7pm when temperatures are expected to drop slightly.
By nighttime, temperatures will drop slightly to 9C and will continue to steadily drop into Saturday morning. For the start of the Easter weekend, the Met Office said: "Largely fine and dry heading into the Easter Weekend, with plenty of sunny intervals and lighter winds.
"Feeling pleasant in the sunshine, though colder by night with a frost possible."
On Saturday and Sunday, conditions will remain mild with the Met Office predicting the sun to mainly be present in the morning before conditions become cloudy in the afternoon and evening. On both days, temperatures will remain relatively the same, ranging between 5C and 10C.
Then, by lunchtime, temperatures will improve significantly to 12C and 13C, leading up to a nice and warm evening with temperatures only dropping by a few degrees. Unfortunately, early Met Office predictions state that rainfall will make a comeback on Easter Monday.
Despite this, temperatures will remain comfortable and warm, reaching a peak of 12C and some minor sunny intervals in the late afternoon while precipitation chances remain high.
