A weather expert has warned the UK is set to be hit by a "chilly" Arctic blast.
The country has enjoyed mild conditions this winter as temperatures hovered around 8C in Merseyside this weekend.
However, Accuweather forecasters expect a cold front from Iceland will soon bring freezing temperatures to the UK.

Meteroeologist Jim Andrews predicts conditions could plummet to as low as -5C in parts of the UK once the blast arrives.
He told Express.co.uk : “Daytime temperature will hold about 2-4C below normal on the chilliest day -- mostly likely on Friday.
“Likewise, the coldest night is likely to be that on Friday, when lows to -5C can be reached in normally colder parts of England.
“By Thursday, a new, strong anticyclone will build eastward to Ireland and Great Britain, thereby setting up a pattern of mainly dry weather that will last through at least Sunday.”
The Met Office expects a "cold foggy start" to Tuesday in the North West before colder temperatures will arrive later in the week.
It said: "A cold, frosty start for many with fog patches slow to clear this morning. Sunny spells develop into the afternoon, but cloud and patchy rain then arrives from the north later. Turning breezier through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C."
Temperatures are set to dip later tonight as showery conditions will hit the region.
It continued: "Cloud and rain will move south and eastwards overnight, turning heavier for a time during the early hours. The rain will be accompanied by some strong winds. A milder night. Minimum temperature 3 °C."
The outlook for Thursday to Saturday warns the colder temperatures could lead to frosty conditions.
It said: "Staying mostly dry and settled with overnight frost and fog possible. Turning cloudier as we head into the weekend. Remaining cold overnight."
