Three wealthy brothers, Tal, Oren, and Alon Alexander, have been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting dozens of women in multiple states. The brothers, prominent real estate brokers in New York and Miami, were arrested in Miami Beach on December 11 and are now in federal custody.
According to prosecutors, the Alexander brothers allegedly worked together to drug, sexually assault, and rape victims in New York, Miami, and other locations. Federal prosecutors have identified at least 40 victims in connection with the case.
Oren Alexander missed his bail hearing in Miami federal court due to a mix-up involving the U.S. Marshals Service. There was confusion over transporting Oren to New York City, where the brothers are facing charges. The judge ordered Oren to be brought back to Miami for his bond hearing.
All three brothers are charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking of women by force, fraud, or coercion. Tal Alexander faces an additional charge of sex trafficking of a second victim.
The indictment alleges that the brothers conspired in the sex-trafficking scheme since at least 2010, with instances of sexual violence dating back over 20 years. The brothers reportedly lured women with promises of luxury experiences and then forcibly raped or sexually assaulted them.
In one instance, the brothers arranged to transport women to Tulum, Mexico, discussing their plans in a group chat titled 'Lions in Tulum.' They provided drugs to women to make them more likely to engage in sex.
Oren and Tal Alexander co-founded the real estate firm Official in 2022, catering to luxury clients in various cities. Their past clients include celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Lindsay Lohan.
Legal representatives for the brothers have stated that they will address the charges in court. Isabelle Kirshner, representing Alon Alexander, confirmed that he will plead not guilty. Susan Necheles, representing Oren Alexander, did not comment on the missed hearing, and Deanna Paul, representing Tal Alexander, has not responded to inquiries.
