Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has quashed rumours of a reunion for the band following the death of Sarah Harding last year. She has, meanwhile, confirmed that there are plans for an industry fundraiser in Sarah's memory for Cancer Research.
Talking to presenter Gethin Jones on BBC’s Morning Live on Wednesday, April 20, Kimberley said: “I feel like I need to clear this up a little bit. There won’t be a reunion as such. We won’t be getting back on stage together. We don’t quite feel ready to get back on stage without Sarah.”
Sarah passed away on September 5, 2021 following a battle with breast cancer. She was just 39 when she died.

The reunion will fund medical equipment to help make cancer diagnoses earlier rather than later. The industry fundraiser had previously been confirmed by Nadine Coyle in a discussion with OK! Magazine. Kimberley, Nadine, Cheryl Tweedy and Nicola Roberts will all be involved.
Further details are yet to be announced about the fundraiser but it will no doubt be an emotional treat for fans who have waited 10 years for a reunion.
Girls Aloud made their debut on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and were very popular in the music scene until their split in 2012.
Morning Live airs weekdays on BBC One at 9.15am
