Philippe Clement has admitted the 'door is open' for Todd Cantwell to remain at Rangers despite his transfer request.
The Ibrox midfielder had asked to leave the club this summer for a new challenge.
However, Clement has insisted Cantwell could return to the Rangers fold should he feel ready to compete for the club after his exit request.
"I kept the door all the time open all these weeks," Clement told Sky Sports. "It is already a while ago that he came the first time with that.
"As long as a player is here and we believe in his qualities the door is always open. But, of course, we need to focus now on the guys who are totally with their minds in the club to get results in the next couple of weeks.
"We will see what happens."

"Todd Cantwell came to me in my office a while ago, and we have a really good relationship so we talked for [a long time], to say that he feels ready for another adventure and challenge," said Clement of Cantwell's situation after the friendly against Birmingham.
"I spoke for long with him because I think Rangers is a really good club for him and I wanted to give him time also. That's why in the last couple of weeks I didn't speak about it. But he came back with the same request. I am going to be focused on the guys who in their heads are focused on Rangers."
Asked if Clement was close to joining another club, Clement added: "I'm not sure.
"He has been training with us all the time and played with the second team because of that, we need to focus on the guys who will be here in the next months."
