Chelsea are on the brink of a defensive crisis with a number of Thomas Tuchel's back-line set to leave on free transfers at the end of the season.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen are both set to depart, with Barcelona linked with moves for both players, but the biggest concern surrounds Antonio Rudiger.
The 28-year-old has been a key part of Tuchel's side since his arrival, going from an outcast at Stamford Bridge to one of the most highly-rated centre-backs in the Premier League.
However, very little progress appears to have been made regarding a new deal at the club, and with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all interested there is a very real chance of losing him for nothing.
Rudiger has hinted that hope of a Chelsea stay is not lost and that everything remains undecided.
"Of course you need to listen to the missus! You have to think about your family," he told Sky Sports in an interview.
"I always said my kids were born here in London. That tells you my family feels great here. The rest is up to other people, they also have to make decisions.
"Then we will see if we come together or not."
Only Mason Mount has played more times for Chelsea than the defender during Tuchel's time at the club, so it is little surprise that supporters are so eager to see him stay.
But despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Rudiger insists that he remains 100 per cent committed to the Blues.
"I find it [not letting rumours affect his performances] easy to do because these are not only words that I'm saying that I'm fully committed to the cause. I think I've shown it," he added.
"I owe it to everyone here around the club - the coach, my teammates, my family. That's why for me, I am only focused about the important things."
